About the practitioner

Alexander Wade

Holistic manual therapist and biomechanics specialist with 14+ years of hands-on practice — and one operating rule: the test determines the treatment.

Why this practice exists

Bodies aren't a collection of parts.

Alexander Wade is a Certified Massage Therapist, Holistic Health Practitioner, Neuromuscular Therapist, Functional Range Conditioning® Mobility Specialist, and a practitioner trained in Functional Range Assessment® and Functional Range Release®.

Alexander built Holistic Muscle Therapy after repeatedly seeing people treated as disconnected parts — a shoulder handed to one protocol, a hip to another — while the pattern connecting them went unexamined. Pain would move, return, or simply outlast every treatment aimed at the spot that hurt.

The practice is built on the opposite premise: pain is local, but the pattern is global. A knee that hurts may be paying for a foot that stopped adapting or a hip that stopped rotating. So every session here begins by measuring the system — range, gait, breathing, balance, strength — before anything is treated, and ends by retesting the same measures so the result is visible rather than assumed.

That discipline cuts both ways. When the retest says an approach isn't working — or when what's found suggests another provider or a diagnostic workup is the better next step — Alexander says so plainly and refers out.

Training & credentials

What the letters actually mean

Credentials matter less than what they let a practitioner see and do. Here is each one in plain language.

CMT

HHP

Holistic Health Practitioner

Trained to consider the whole system — movement, breath, lifestyle — not one sore spot.

NMT

Focused manual work on the interaction between nerves and muscles, including trigger-point and tension patterns.

FRCms

Functional Range Conditioning® Mobility Specialist

Certified in training usable, controlled range of motion — not just passive flexibility.

FRA®

Functional Range Assessment®

A standardized system for measuring joint-by-joint range of motion, so progress is tracked in numbers.

FR®

Functional Range Release® practitioner

Trained in a joint- and tissue-specific soft-tissue system focused on how tissue tolerates load and movement.

14+ years of practice across manual therapy, biomechanics, gait and footwear assessment, and individualized movement training.

The standard

Three obligations, every session.

Every visit is held to the same standard: create an objective change you can measure, explain why it matters in words you can use, and help you become less dependent on treatment — not more.

That's why sessions end with a retest instead of a sales pitch, why home programs are a few precise drills rather than a generic sheet, and why "this isn't the right fit" is an answer you'll actually hear when it's true.

How Alexander works

  • Assess before you address — nothing is treated unmeasured.
  • Lighter goes deeper — precision over pressure.
  • Better, unchanged, or worse is information.
  • Autonomy over dependency — capacity, not endless care.
  • Refer out when another provider is the right next step.
